WASHINGTON, DC, November 02, 2007 - Zomba Gospel/Quiet Water Entertainment is proud to announce the 2008 Stellar Award nominations for their artist DeWayne Woods. The debut artist's project received five nominations: Song of the Year, for "Let Go", written by P.J. Morton, New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Urban Inspirational Single/Performance of the Year and Recorded Music Package of the Year (by Sean M. Kinney & Ronald Cadiz).
The Stellar Award nominations were announced on October 23, 2007 from a press conference from Nashville, Tennessee. The Stellar Awards will be held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee on January 12, 2008.
Woods is thrilled about the honor. "I am overwhelmed and grateful that my peers and mentors in the gospel music industry, considered me (during the Stellar Awards voting process)," says DeWayne. "I am cognizant that it is rare for a new artist to make an immediate impact or gain accolades, in any genre, so I am very appreciative."
